Call for applicants: Sales and Exhibition Galleries at Lanesboro Arts
Lanesboro, Minn. – Lanesboro Arts is now accepting artist applications for both the Juried Sales Gallery in 2027; and Exhibition Gallery for 2028 Exhibitions. Both applications have a deadline of December 31st, 2026, and accept work from artists from Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. All visual arts media are eligible – both 2-D and 3-D.
For over 30 years, the Lanesboro Arts Juried Sales and Exhibition Galleries have served as public gathering spaces where artists are uplifted and visitors are inspired. In line with Lanesboro Art’s mission to serve as a regional catalyst for artistic excellence and educational development in providing diverse art experiences for all ages, the Galleries present exhibitions, programming, and sales opportunities that initiate discussion and connection.
Artists selected for both the Juried Sales Gallery and Exhibition Gallery are chosen through a demonstration of clear artistic vision, quality craftsmanship, thought provoking qualities, diverse representation, and alignment with Lanesboro Arts’ values.
More than 80 artists are currently represented in the Juried Sales Gallery. Each year, a select few additional artists are added to the Gallery to evolve and fill gaps in current offerings—and to create opportunities for new artists to display and sell their work.
The Exhibition Gallery typically hosts five solo or group shows each year, with each show running for approximately 8 weeks. The Exhibition Gallery presents works that enrich both artist and community by initiating discussion and connection.
To apply, artists complete the online application available on the Lanesboro Arts website. From the homepage of lanesboroarts.org, click on ‘Artist Opportunities’ on the sidebar, and then on ‘Gallery Applications’. Both Juried Sales and Exhibition Gallery applications have a deadline this year of December 31st. A diverse jury composed of regional artists will convene in January to make selections; applicants will be contacted in March with decisions.
