The intent of the McKnight Artist & Culture Bearer Fellowship program is to support Minnesota Based artists who are clearly beyond early practice, and who have created a substantial body of work over time that demonstrates artistic excellence.

This session, led by program leaders Tracy Krumm (Fiber Artists) and Colin Edwards (Dancers and Choreographers) will speak to the full Artist & Culture Bearers Fellowship program, which supports 15 artistic disciplines, and more specifically to the Fiber Artist, Dance, and Choreography Fellowships. We’ll allow plenty of time for specific questions.

Rick Kagigebi is a FY 2025 Cultural Expression grant recipient from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of MN through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Fiber artist fellowships are administered through Textile Center of Mn, Dance and Choreography Fellowships are Administered through Springboard for the Arts. Other Fellowship sites include MN Center for Book Arts, Northern Clay Center, American Composers Forum, Pillsbury House Theatre, Indigenous Roots, Film North, MacPhail Center for Music, the Playwright Center, Highpoint Center for Printmaking, MCAD, and The Loft.
