We celebrate an unprecedented moment as Manoomin Arts Initiative brings native artists from White Earth Nation and the surrounding region into The Indigenous Association (above the Plains Art Museum Center for Creativity) as part of a weekend of up-close art. Both an opportunity to purchase unique art and an educational event. Artists will demonstrate or discuss their work and be present both days.
The organizations and individual participants reflect a significant effort in northern Minnesota to bring native art and native artists into the mainstream arts economy here and beyond.

From FMVA Board President Eric Johnson:
WELCOME to the FMVA Studio Crawl
It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to an event that celebrates the vibrant, creative, and diverse artistic community we are so proud of—the Studio Crawl.
A multitude of studios are inviting you to explore the very spaces where inspiration is born and art comes to life. Our artists have poured their hearts and souls into their work, and the FMVA Studio Crawl is a unique opportunity for you to witness the magic of their creative processes up close. It’s an experience that bridges the gap between artists and art lovers. It’s a chance to ask questions, to learn about the techniques and inspirations behind the works, and to engage with the artists in a meaningful way.
Along with new artists and returning artists, destinations added this year include the Indigenous Art Collaboration in the Indigenous Association Space above the Plains Art Museum Center for Creativity. And the Rourke Art Gallery and Museum is offering tours of their public access print studio and hosting several area artists in their courtyard outside.
To our visitors, thank you for joining us again this year! Your support and enthusiasm make events like this possible and meaningful. I encourage you to take your time, explore each studio, and truly immerse yourself in the beauty and creativity that surrounds you.
I thank our sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible.
Enjoy the Studio Crawl!
