Sewing for Beginners

Learn the basics of using a sewing machine with this beginner-friendly course! Students will gain essential skills, including: how to thread the needle, how to change a broken needle, how to fill the bobbin, how to start and stop sewing, and many other foundational techniques.

With your new skills you’ll complete a simple and fun project: making your very own pillowcase! This hands-on project will teach you how to sew using straight lines and apply your basic sewing knowledge. Perfect for those new to sewing or looking to build confidence with their machine.

Cost: $30 registration fee and $10 supply fee due at the time of class to the instructor.
