Madeleine Bialke: Nemeth Art Center Gallery

  • Nemeth Art Center Park Rapids, MN (map)

Madeleine Bialke’s paintings respond to our changing environment and reflect on her interest in nature and society. Based loosely on real landscapes she encounters, she enhances shapes and color to convey emotion. The flora depicted often take on expressive and anthropomorphic qualities. She has shown work internationally, with solo exhibitions in Antwerp, Belgium, London, UK, and Seoul, SK, and nationally in New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, and Denver, CO. Her work is included in many public collections, namely X Museum, Beijing, and Zuzeum, Latvia. As the Nemeth’s summer resident, she will be creating and premiering a new body of work. Bialke holds an MFA from Boston University and a BFA from Plattsburgh State University of New York. She lives and works in London, UK. Please visit http://www.nemethartcenter.org for more information regarding this exhibit. The Nemeth Art Center’s 2024 season is made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota from a grant through the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
