Tweens & Teens Artistic Adventures: FREE CLASSES for youth under the age of 18.

April 12, 1:30-4:30: "Self-Portraiture of the Face"

Description of the project: We will be exploring self-portraiture using watercolor pencils to draw the face, focusing on individual elements such as the eyes, the mouth and the nose. We will then introduce a painterly element by incorporating water and paintbrushes to the watercolor pencil drawings. Each student will be supplied with a handheld mirror, a set of watercolor pencils, a paintbrush, a disposable cup and paper. Ages 8 -18.

Classes will be held at the historic Carnegie Library, 426 Bemidji Avenue N, Bemidji, MN. Registration is required, go online: www.ci.bemidji.mn.us Parks and Recreation will have a link to register for these classes.
