Fingerweaving with Jeff Harper at Watermark Art Center, Bemidji, MN - Begins October 23: Jeff Harper (Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe) will lead  a 4-session workshop on finger weaving as part of Watermark's Intercultural Creative Circles program. Participants should plan on attending all 4 days from 11 - 3pm on October 23 & 30, November 6 & 13.

There is no fee for this workshop but space is limited and participants must call Watermark to register in advance. Multiple projects may be completed if time allows. Materials will be provided.

Says Harper, "Finger weaving is one of many traditional methods utilizing ordinary materials to make a beautiful object for use in daily life."

Initially a medium weight woolen yarn will be used to start the project using wooden sticks. Participants will complete a hat band or bag strap during the class time. More here:watermarkartcenter.org/product/fingerweaving/
