Come play with textures in watercolor Workshop

  • Public Library Bagley, MN (map)

There is a class fee of $100. Class size of 10 per session. Please bring your own sack lunch and beverages.

Come play with watercolors, watercolor ground, and collage to create two textured paintings!

You will learn more about how texture and medium works, use easily accessible paper products, and learn more about watercolor ground and how it can work for you.

Bring your paints- 100% cotton watercolor paper- the 300# is best but 140# will work. A hair dryer is strongly recommended to help speed up the painting process.

If you are using 140# paper, then I suggest that it be taped securely to a foam core board or heavy cardboard for easy maneuvering of the painting as we will be using gravity for a portion of the painting. If you want to use plexiglass that works also. I do not suggest plywood as they are usually heavier and harder to handle. You can also use Watercolor panels such as the ones sold at Hobby Lobby.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
