The Lake of the Woods Art Guild is hosting a 2-day workshop on how to create eye catching illustrations for picture books. Learn time tested techniques and processes for dreaming up, sketching, drawing, and coloring picture book illustrations using an iPad and/or traditional sketching and mixed media.
Nicholas teaches how to design an imaginary character based upon the ideas from a story, and how to take a reader through a visual journey of wonder and imagination.

An ipad is not required but bring one if you have one. We will also be using traditional mixed media to create images.

Please note: This course is not a writing course for your book. Rather, it prepares you to create illustrations. Please have a character or idea of a scene thought up when you come to class.
