There are two different workshops for these events, one for children and one for adults. Adult Workshops: The Nemeth Art Center will host a series of drawing sessions. The workshops will be hosted by resident artist Liz Wheaton and participants will be encouraged to explore and develop their own personal drawing style. Budding artists from high school through adults are encouraged to attend. No experience necessary. These classes will be held Thursdays, August 1st through the 29th. Participants will be provided with a drawing board, paper, and a conte sketching pastel to practice their drawing skills, working from a group of objects arranged as a still life. The final week will feature a live clothed model to draw from. Liz will be available to help with techniques and answer your questions. Each week is considered a stand-alone workshop, so sign up for one or all five. If you would like to bring your own materials, you are welcome to. Please wear comfortable, washable clothing. Workshops, held in the main gallery of the Nemeth Art Center, Feature different materials and techniques each week along with a local guest artist who will share their skills and creative process. Children are invited to come explore creative expression through art. Class is $10, or $25 for all five classes.
