Did you know Bemidji has a Hollywood secret?

Jane Russell, one of the biggest stars of the golden age of Hollywood, was born right here in Bemidji, Minnesota. And her most iconic film? Gentlemen Prefer Blondes the 1953 classic she co-starred in alongside its shining star, Marilyn Monroe.

Dress as Marilyn, Jane, your favorite old Hollywood star or starlet, or simply come as you are. And join us at Rail River Folk School for a night that brings old Hollywood glamour home. We're talking a live Marilyn Monroe, Photo ops and a costume contest with prizes for those who come as Marilyn ! Bar by Knob & Kettle as well as food to keep the glamour flowing. We will be showing Gentlemen Prefer Blondes later on in the evening, after everyone has had a chance to mingle amongst the stars.

This night is for everyone: all ages, all backgrounds, all identities. Our community is queer-friendly, trans-friendly, and welcoming to all. The more the merrier, the more fabulous the better.
