Online grants open for application approximately one month before the deadline date.

Open to artists who are enrolled tribal members and descendants. Must reside in the following counties: Becker, Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Hubbard, Itasca, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, or Roseau. All arts disciplines welcome. This grant offers funding for costs associated with the exhibition, performance, or production of a creative work, purchase of materials or equipment to create works of art, educational opportunities in the arts (excluding academic credit), and proposals for projects or opportunities to enhance the career of an individual artist.

The Grant Application
The online grant application will ask a series of questions – eligibility questions, questions about demographics which we use for reporting to the Minnesota State Arts Board (see our Data Privacy Policy), and questions based on our scoring criteria. There are also pieces needed for the grant application which you should gather before you apply, such as work samples (Work Sample Submission Policy), an artist resume, a budget (Download Excel Budget Template or PDF Budget Templateand a comparative pricing form.
