WHAT: Region 2 Arts Council seeks the support of a consultant or a consulting team to lead our organization through a values clarification process and core-strengths inquiry to identify boundaries and avenues in our capacity for growth and change.
END GOAL: To continue to carry out our mission in ways that are creative and visionary, while ensuring that any methods we identify for doing so are also sustainable for our organization.
INTENDED OUTCOMES:
• Our organizational capacity will be better understood
• Any shortcomings, gaps, or overlaps in our inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility
initiatives will be identified
• Our systems will be refined and better aligned with our capacity and values
• Our network and partnership building will be more strategic
• Our relevance to our communities will be enhanced
• A greater sense of organizational stability from which we can respond more
systematically to community needs will be achieved
Application Nuts and Bolts
ELIGIBILITY
Seeking applicants with experience in group facilitation. Strong candidates will possess an ability to unearth and understand diverse community needs within rural communities, have experience in helping organizations name their core values, and will have the skills and tools to engage Region 2 Arts Council and its stakeholders in reorienting and restructuring for growth and sustainability. An approach to facilitation that is grounded in and attentive to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility is required.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: October 1, 2022
Submissions include
- Cover sheet containing contact information, website information
- Project proposal of no more than two pages that includes a description of past work, your approach to group facilitation, and your plan for reaching the proposed outcomes
- Resume or CV
- Any work samples, if available- YouTube videos of you engaged in your work, past plans & outlines of past work, etc.
- Proposed budget
PAY RANGE: $5000.00 – $8000.00
SELECTION PROCESS:
A Region 2 Arts Council committee comprised of Board members, the Executive Director and Staff will review proposals and resumes, interview the finalists, and make a final selection in October.
ABOUT REGION 2 ARTS COUNCIL
Who we are
The Region 2 Arts Council is part of a statewide system of 11 regional arts councils that receive a legislative allocation for the arts. The regional arts councils work on a statewide basis in partnership with the Minnesota State Arts Board to provide access to the arts to everyone in Minnesota. Each regional arts council is designated to assess arts needs, develop programs and services to meet those needs, and distribute grants to fund arts programs in their region.

Our Funding
The Region 2 Arts Council is funded through an appropriation from the Minnesota State
Legislature, funding from the McKnight Foundation, and the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. The Region 2 Arts Council is a responsible steward of these funds maintaining accountability with measurable outcomes and assessment processes.
