Serving Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods and Mahnomen counties
The Region 2 Arts Council (R2AC) is funded to serve a five-county region in north central Minnesota to support art opportunities, programs, and services for individual artists, arts organizations, schools and communities as its mission. Two representatives from each county serve on the R2AC Board and work to award grants and make policy decisions. The Anishinaabe Arts Advisory Council works to promote traditional and contemporary Native American arts in the region.
What we offer
R2AC offers grants for individual artists, arts organizations, schools and universities, non-profit organizations, and government and tribal offices. You can login and apply online and we have a list of deadlines here. Subscribe to our news feed to get the latest information on these grants and other opportunities. We support a growing number of Arts Organizations in Region 2 that provide arts programming in a variety of disciplines. R2AC promotes regional artists and organizations by providing news, events, and opportunity announcements through this web site and Northern Arts News newsletter. You can submit your news and articles to the Northern Arts News, discover and research arts in the region from recent issues listed on our home page, or dig through the Archive of Northern Arts News going back to 2008.
Help elsewhere
Outside our region there is help for all MN Artists in promoting your work, creating an online portfolio, finding health care, and gaining business skills. State and National Arts Funding is available beyond our five county region offering additional grant opportunities.
You can help support funding for artists and arts organizations through Arts Advocacy.
