Artist Relief Grant Applications for Round 2 Open August 31

Region 2 Arts Council opens Round 2 of their Artist Relief Grant on Monday, August 31, 2020. Applications will open at 8:00 a.m. and close once granting criteria have been met and funding has run out.

Overview

The Artist Relief Grant is open to artists* whose anticipated arts income has been impacted due to COVID-19. All eligible artists must rely on the creation of art to generate income and have no overdue final reports with Region 2 Arts Council. Artists may only receive one Artist Relief Grant from Region 2 Arts Council.

How to Apply?

Online: Create a login if you have not yet done so at r2arts.org. Complete and submit your application online.

Paper: Download a copy of the application here once the application opens August 31. Submit the application by mail, email, or drop it off at the Region 2 office at 505 Bemidji Avenue N., Bemidji. Contact staff@r2arts.org or 218 751-5447 / 800 275-5447 to receive a paper grant copy in the mail.

Reviews and Fund Disbursement

Eligible and complete applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. Funds are limited and the need is great. It will not be possible for Region 2 Arts Council to fund all applications. Allow 2 weeks for processing to occur.

Eligible Artists

*Artists living in Beltrami, Clearwater, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Hubbard Counties are eligible to apply.   This grant is also open to artists who are enrolled tribal members and descendants and are residents of Itasca, Roseau, Cass, and Becker Counties (our additional Anishinaabe Arts Initiative counties).
