Over the next two weeks, Region 2 Arts Council is offering a series of workshops and informational drop-in sessions to assist those in our region interested in submitting an Arts and Cultural Heritage Grant:
Arts & Cultural Heritage Grant Writing Workshops
- Monday July 14 at the Region 2 Arts Council Office in Bemidji, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
- Tuesday July 22 at Coldwell Banker in Park Rapids, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Arts & Cultural Heritage Grant Informational Drop-in Sessions
- Thursday July 17 at the Bagley Public Library, 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
- Monday July 21 at the Region 2 Arts Council Office in Bemidji, 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
The application deadline is August 14, 2014.
Individual artists can apply for up to $3,000 and organizations can apply for grants up to $6,000 in grant funds. This grant is open to artists in all art disciplines, arts organizations, schools, non-profits, government offices, or cultural heritage groups located in one of the following Minnesota counties: Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, or Mahnomen. These grants support projects covering three key areas: Arts Activities and Arts Access, Arts Education, and Arts and Cultural Heritage.

Arts & Cultural Heritage Grants are funded through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund passed by Minnesota voters on November 4, 2008 as part of the Clean Water, Land & Legacy Amendment.
