Friday in Park Rapids:    Kinship Spaghetti Dinner & Arts and Cultural Showcase
Kinship will host its annual spaghetti dinner with a silent auction from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at Century School. This unofficial start of the Headwaters 100 bike ride also includes an Arts & Cultural Showcase with live performances and arts groups’ exhibits, sponsored by the Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council. Tickets for the dinner are $9 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under.

Friday- Sunday in Bemidji:     BCT presents The Game’s Afoot!  Vicki Stenerson directs this hilarious “who dun it?” on the Bangsberg Main Stage at BSU Fri/Sat 7:30 p.m.; Sun 3:00 p.m. $12 / adults and $6 / children under 18 advance purchase at Shannon’s Art and Soul and Iverson Drug downtown, and Ken K Thompson Jewelry in the Paul Bunyan Mall. Fantastic cast (R2AC’s very own Holly Alcott is in this one!) and great story. Don’t miss it!

Saturday – Sunday in the Park Rapids Area:   Art Leap 2013
The Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council (PRLAAC) will sponsor Art Leap 2013 Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29. Art Leap is an “open studio event” featuring artists’ studios and culturally rich destinations in the Park Rapids area. For the eighth year, art lovers can use our map to find their way to area artists’ and artisans’ studios, workshops and other featured locations. Studios will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.  Pick up a map at Blank Canvas Gallery in Park Rapids, the Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and other locations or download one directly at www.prlaac.org.

Saturday in Bemidji:  Verdi’s “Aida” on the Big Screen
Opera Encore HD presents Verdi’s “Aida” Saturday at Bemidji Amigo Theater at 2 p.m. Fulton Gallagher will give an overview of this captured live performance from Teatro alla Scala staged by legendary director Franco Zeffirelli, 1:30 before the show.  $20.00 and for students $10.00.  Questions?  Please contact the Gallaghers at 218-586-2536 or fgallagh@paulbunyan.net.
