Bemidji Community Art Center – presents the 10th Annual It’s Only Clay National Juried Ceramics Exhibit featuring work by Juror Robert Briscoe. This national exhibit features work by 30 artists from around the United States.
The event will also feature work by Briscoe in Gallery X2 and Shop 426 for purchase. Reception is from 5 to 7pm with a brief presentation and awards announced by Artist Butch Holden. Purchase Awards are made by the Bemidji State University Visual Arts Department with the works to be included in the Margaret Harlow Vessel Collection, a permanent functional ceramics collection at Bemidji State University. Winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall will also be announced.
The exhibit will be on display November 2nd through December 22nd, 2012. IOC 2012 is Co-sponsored by the BCAC and Bemidji State University. Support is provided by the Holiday Inn Express – Bemidji and the BSU Foundation. IOC 2012 is also made possible, in part, by a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council and funding by an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State’s general fund. The Bemidji Community Art Center is located at 426 Bemidji Avenue. Hours are Tues. to Fri. 12 to 5pm and Sat. 10am to 2pm.
