The concert called “Evolution in Concert,” features a brass quintet performing a wide variety of music from Mozart to Billy Joel.
The quintet will be doing a two-day residency for the 5th/6th, junior high, and senior music students. In addition to innovative concert performances, the group focuses heavily on education and introducing kids to the joy of music.
The quintet prides itself on shattering the divide between listener and performer with their lively banter and audience interaction. The concert is the high point of the educational program and is perfect for audiences of all ages. Tickets will be available at the door.
The CSBQ’s educational residency and concert is funded through a grant by the Region 2 Arts Council through the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota state legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
