Magical Pied Piper Opens this Week!

There is trouble in Hamelin Town!  The village is overrun with rats and not even the Kitty Cat Patrol can resolve the problem.  Peter comes to the rescue with his magical pipe but is deceived by the unscrupulous mayor, but like all these tales, everyone manages to live happily ever after.

Watch this wonderful fable – faithful to the legend with the addition of some new entertaining characters and songs – come alive on the stage of the historic Chief Theater.  This is an enchanting and enjoyable result of a collaborative between Bemidji Community Theater and the Paul Bunyan Playhouse.

There will be a special preview performance on Thursday, April 12th at 4:00 PM, with all seats $5, available only at the box office.

Regular performances will be Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th at 7:30 PM with a matinee on Sunday, April 15th at 2:00 PM.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children and are available at Iverson’s Corner Drug and Ken K. Thompson Jewelry at the Mall and will also be available at the box office one hour before each show.

Directed by Mary Knox-Johnson with musical direction by Karen Bradley and accompanied by Wayne Hoff.

This activity is funded in whole or in part by a Region 2 Arts Council Grant through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature, and the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund passed by Minnesota voters on November 4, 2008.
