The Region 2 Arts Council Artist Mentor Grant Program is truly a win-win! We’ve got exceptionally talented kids in our region and amazingly talented adult artists. This grant brings these two together- to be inspired by one another while doing art together.
The Artist Mentor Grant program funds the mentoring experience, paying the Artist Mentor $550.00 for up to 20 hours of one-on-one mentoring with their student artist. 8-12 grade student artists residing in Beltrami, Hubbard, Clearwater, Mahnomen, and Lake of the Woods counties are currently gearing up to apply for this grant.
If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, Region 2 Arts Council is hosting an Artist Mentor Grant Informational Session next Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Headwaters School of Music and the Arts in Bemidji.
If you are interested in being an Artist Mentor for any time between June 2012 and June 2013, please come to our Artist Mentor Grant Informational Session. You will hear from our artist mentors and the student artists they are mentoring. You may meet a young artist who is interested in mentoring with you.
