In preparation for the upcoming grant deadlines, Region 2 Arts Council is hosting a drop-in session and grant-writing workshop on Thursday December 1st, 2011 in the R2AC office at 426 Bemidji Avenue in Bemidji.
Drop by our office any time between 4:30-5:30 p.m. to pick up application materials and discuss which R2AC grants best support your project ideas.
Plan to attend our grant-writing workshop from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for an in-depth discussion of grant writing strategies and a closer look at grant-specific requirements. The following grants will be highlighted in this workshop:
Arts and Cultural Heritage Grants
Deadline: January 17, 2012
Providing opportunities for arts, arts access, arts education, and cultural heritage activities. Individual artists can apply for grants up to $3,000 and organizations can apply for grants up to $6,000.
Individual Artist Grants
Deadline: February 7, 2012
Supporting individual artists in creating and promoting their art. Individual artists can apply for grants up to $1,000.
Community Arts Support Grants
Deadline: February 15, 2012
Fostering the development and sustainability of new and existing arts organizations. Based on their annual expenses, organizations can qualify for funds up to $12,000, to be paid in 2 installments.
