Arts Downtown Park Rapids – Thursday Nov. 17

The Arts Downtown PR series will continue from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 in downtown Park Rapids.

Enjoy a sneak preview of Long Lake Theater’s Christmas production, “Fruitcakes,” from 5 to 6 p.m. at Beagle Books, 112 3rd Street West. Musicians Mike Chase and Paul Albright will play their original and familiar folk, rock, country and other selections from 5 to 5:30 and 6 to 6:30 p.m. at Bella Caffè, 116 3rd Street West. Poet/writer Bob LaFleur will read excerpts from his forthcoming book and some humorous poetry from 5 to 5:30 and 6 to 6:30 p.m. at Blank Canvas Gallery & Education Center, 311 South Main Ave. Alex Ziemann will give an encore performance from 5:30 to 6 and 6:30 to 7 p.m. at The Good Life Cafe, 220 South Main Ave.

Region 2 Arts Council staff will be at Coldwell Banker/Clack & Dennis Real Estate, 101 South Main Ave., to discuss grant opportunities and share effective grant writing strategies. Stop in anytime between 5:30 and 8 p.m., pick up a grant application and chat with R2AC Executive Director Terri Widman about grants and grant ideas.

Third Thursday events are designed to bring audiences to see and hear visual artists, musicians, writers and other artists in businesses in downtown Park Rapids on the Third Thursday of the month.
