Come Learn Applique Technique from Marilyn Lee, Local Fabric Artist

Come learn from fabric artist Marilyn Lee, 2010 Minnesota State Fair Champion winner for her “Pieces of History Obama” quilt as well as the recent people’s choice first place winner at the Bemidji Quilter’s Exhibition. Using a sewing machine, Lee will teach the steps involved in the appliqué technique and teach special sewing and finishing techniques.  Participants will create appliquéd pieces of art featuring northern Minnesota icons, Paul and Babe.

Participants can make a Paul Bunyan and Babe 22″ x 28″ wall hanging or an 18″ x 18″ pillow. Classes will meet for three days, October 13, 20, and 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the Debs Community Center located on County Road #5. The cost is $30.00.
