As one of nine recipients of a 2011 Region 2 Arts Council Artist Mentor Grant, Ivan Smith of Bemidji has been paired with experienced sculpture artist Al Belleveau to learn the art of working with metal. Belleveau captured this picture of Ivan cutting with plasma. He sent it on to our office at Region 2 Arts Council stating, “It’s August.
