The Bemidji Chorale directed by Pat Mason and accompanied by Wayne Hoff is pleased to announce their 32nd Annual Spring Concert and Ice Cream Social on May 15, 2011 at 7PM in the Main Theater of the Bangsberg Fine Arts Building on the campus of Bemidji State University.
This concert will be lighter in nature compared to the concert just given be the Bemidji Symphony, the Bemidji State University Choir, and the Bemidji Chorale of the Verdi Requiem on May 1, 2011.
This concert will loosely follow a “passage of time” theme. The program will include:
“Bright Morning Stars”, a traditional folk tune arranged by Shawn Kirchner
“Here’s That Rainy Day”, a complex arrangement by Darmon Meader
“The Times of Your Life”, an old Kodak commercial arranged by Lou Hayward
“Sure on the Shining Night”, by Morten Lauridson.
A collection of American Folk Songs and Spirituals will be heard as well as a variety of soloists and instrumental participation.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy the music, fellowship, and ice cream social following the concert. The concert and ice cream social are free, but donations to the Bemidji Chorale are gladly accepted. Elevator access is through the North Door of Bangsberg.
