A slide show of nature and wildlife photographs by Kathy Jo McKeown (KJo), is currently on display at the Lake Bemidji State Park visitor’s center. These photos capture the spectacular beauty in both the simplicity and complexity of nature. There will be a continuous showing on weekends from noon until 4 PM (time the center closes). It will also be on display for various field trips for school children through the end of May. Contact Park naturalist, John Fylpaa at 218-308-2328 to arrange school field trips.
The subjects of these photos are plants & animals indigenous to the northern MN region. Many of them were taken within Lake Bemidji State Park. All are invited to come and enjoy the splendor of the environment in which we are privileged to live.
This project was funded, in whole or in part by a Region 2 Arts Council Grant, through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund passed by Minnesota voters on November 4, 2008.
