Call for Entries for the 13th Annual Bemidji Sculpture Walk

Northern Minnesota’s passion for the arts is celebrated in the Bemidji Sculpture Walk. A selection committee composed of art professionals from the community will select up to twenty sculptures that are of the best quality and workmanship. A $300 honorarium will be awarded to each exhibitor, courtesy of a local business sponsor or community member.

Prizes:

First Prize award of $1,000 will be given to the People’s Choice award winner.

Second Prize award of $500 will be given to the Critic’s Choice award winner.

Third Prize award of $250.

Postmarked on or before March 29, 2011:

Sculptors must submit the following items – Information about the sculpture: title, materials, price, insurance value, size. Images of works: CD-rom,  photo jpeg,  or photos, all numbered & labeled with artist’s name, title, media and date made. A written proposal for a sculpture will be accepted, along with back-up criteria and drawing. A Biographical/Artist Statement & Artist Resume, if available. SASE for return of materials. A completed and signed copy of the loan agreement form (please request a copy of this form by calling (218) 243 2685 or e-mailing abel@paulbunyan.net).

Each year, numerous works from the Sculpture Walk have been sold to businesses and individuals.  The Sculpture Walk has been featured in articles in Minnesota Monthly, Minneapolis Star and Tribune, Grand Forks Herald and the Bemidji Pioneer.
