
The Arts Downtown Park Rapids series will continue from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 at six locations in downtown Park Rapids.
This event is designed to bring audiences to see and hear visual artists, musicians, writers and other artists in businesses in downtown Park Rapids on the Third Thursday of the month year round.
Thursday’s line-up includes the vocal quartet Pine Avenue at Bella Caffe; Phil Ylitalo, playing banjo, and his sister, artist Kayleen Horsma, showing her Art Prize work at The Good Life Cafe; poet Richard Fenton Sederstrom at Blank Canvas Gallery; Ben Ranson, playing guitar at Fresh Catch and Winter Post as Laura Ingalls Wilder at Beagle Books. Winter will be playing Laura in the upcoming production of Prairie Songs, a play with music, at the Minnesota Folklore Theater in Akeley.
A schedule of times various artists will be performing will be available at downtown businesses and the Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber office as well as on the Park Rapids Downtown Business Association website (www.parkrapidsdowntown.com).
