Any non-profit, tax-exempt organization that has received 501(c)3 status from the IRS may apply for an Arts Project Grant. This includes non-profit organizations or schools (including community education offices), and units of government. These grants offer funding for a variety of art projects including production costs related to performances or exhibitions, engagement of guest artists, public murals, art publications, arts awareness projects, administration or consultation services, touring, and artists-in-residence. Maximum request limit of $1,500 applies. Any group that does not have 501c3 status, but is formed for a non-profit purpose, may apply through a fiscal agent. School and units of government may apply without a fiscal agent. This program is supported through funding from the Minnesota State Legislature.
