Community Arts Support Grant

Check the grant deadlines page for application due dates. Important!  This is a two year award!  After the 2012 deadline, the next deadline is in 2014.

The Community Arts Support Grants program funds the development and sustainability of new and existing arts organizations. Proposals may include capacity building, small capital equipment, arts programming, publicity plans, operating expenses, arts organizations obtaining a 501(3) IRS designation and development of community arts centers.

Eligibility Criteria
Open to arts organizations with IRS 501(c)3 status and arts organizations that need assistance to obtain the IRS status in the R2AC service area.  The purpose and mission of the organization must be focused solely on the arts. If your organization is not a 501(c)3 organization yet you will need to find a fiscal sponsor and fill out a Fiscal Sponsor Agreement. Please read the guidelines included with the application thoroughly and contact the Region 2 Arts Council with any questions.

After you have received your grant award:

If you have received a Community Arts Support grant you must use the Legacy Funds Logo, for download here, and the official credit line, below, on all publicity for your project including public service announcements and news releases, brochures, posters, radio announcements, and television news coverage.
