Important! This is a two year award. After the 2014 deadline, the next deadline is in 2016. Organizations applying for the February 14, 2014 deadline MUST submit a two-year Funder Report from the Cultural Data Project (CDP). Your CDP data profile must be submitted and accepted by the CDP no later than November 1, 2013 to be eligible to apply in 2014.
The Community Arts Support Grants program funds the development and sustainability of new and existing arts organizations. Proposals may include capacity building, small capital equipment, arts programming, publicity plans, operating expenses, arts organizations obtaining a 501(3) IRS designation and development of community arts centers.
Open to arts organizations with IRS 501(c)3 status and arts organizations that need assistance to obtain the IRS status in the R2AC service area. The purpose and mission of the organization must be focused solely on the arts. If your organization is not a 501(c)3 organization yet you will need to find a fiscal sponsor and fill out a Fiscal Sponsor Agreement. Please read the guidelines included with the application thoroughly and contact the Region 2 Arts Council with any questions.

If you have received a Community Arts Support grant you must use the Legacy Funds Logo, for download here, and the official credit line, below, on all publicity for your project including public service announcements and news releases, brochures, posters, radio announcements, and television news coverage.
