Community Arts Support Grant

Awards: $2,000 – $6,000 per year x 2 years (award amounts are based on the organization’s averaged expenses for the past two years)

The purpose of the R2AC Community Arts Support Grant is to provide some measure of funding stability for arts organizations so that their energy can be better focused on increasing the quality and availability of the arts to their communities.

Region 2 Arts Council Community Arts Support Grants are two-year awards available to arts organizations located in the five counties of Region 2 that have provided arts activity to communities in our five-county region in each of the past two years.

The Grant Application
The online grant application will ask a series of questions – eligibility questions, questions about demographics which we use for reporting to the Minnesota State Arts Board (see our Data Privacy Policy), and questions based on our scoring criteria.

All applicants must provide a Cultural Data Profile 2-Year Funder’s Report for the past two completed fiscal years. Go to to upload your organization’s financials from the past two years. Plan to complete the CDP by December 1, 2015.

Additional uploads include work samples that provide evidence of arts programming your organization has provided in each of the past two years, list of key personnel and board members, and a 501(c)3 determination letter, bylaws, and articles of incorporation for organizations with 501(c)3 status.
