Region 2 Arts Council is working to connect artists and arts organizations online in a free, self sustaining, and easy way through Flickr. Once you have joined Flickr you can submit new work to Region 2 whenever you want. Newly submitted work automatically shows up on this web site.
How to join the Region 2 Artist Showcase on Flickr
- Get a Yahoo account (Takes less than five minutes)
- start a flickr account (Takes less than five minutes)
- Upload images, for help see http://www.flickr.com/help/photos/ Add your name and contact information to the images which you want to submit to the registry. Include your work title, media.
- Go to the registry at http://www.flickr.com/groups/r2registry Ask to join the registry pool. You can also see the group rules on this page.
Another benefit of using Flickr is that you can connect with similar artists by submitting work to various pools. Here is an example from the R2AC Artist Registry:
